Itinerary for the week
Camino Seguro (Safe Passage) works with the poorest at-risk children of families living and working in the Guatemala City garbage dump.
Last year we experienced and learned much in the nine days we spent in Guatemala -- great joy and great sadness. And all the while we were "surrounded by the goodness that is. That's how it is with Jesus."
Our return to Safe Passage in 2011 will once again involve tutoring, playing, and learning. We will also be working with a special project to help develop their Arts & Music Department.
Our team of fourteen is made of of rising 10th graders, young adults, and adults. Estimated cost is $1,500 per person. If you would like to help support this team financially or through support work as we prepare, your involvement in our team is most welcome as are your prayers!
