YOSH Programs:
YOSH Ed. (AKA Sunday School) Sundays 9 - 9:45 am
Middle schoolers and high schoolers meet in the YOSH House to explore what it means to be loved by God, to build relationships with other teens and to have a safe place to share their doubts, thoughts and experiences, to ask questions, and to support one another. Sometimes the groups meet together. Sometimes they are separate. Sometimes we watch videos. Sometimes we have skits. Sometimes we play games. Sometimes we share and listen to one another. Always we experience the love God has for us through the people we meet.

Mid-Week YOSH
(Youth Group) Wednesdays 6-8 pm
YOSH meets on Wednesday evenings to have time to visit with friends, talk about God, pray, and share meaningful time at church. These are times when we can express the full scope of who we are by playing, praying, and of course eating!

Movie Nights
Second Wednesdays 6-8:30
This Month's Feature
Once a month on Wednesdays, we get together to watch a movie, eat popcorn, drink soda. It is just like going out to the theater without having to spend the money, and you get to sit around and talk about the film after it is over.

Missions
Jesus calls us to take the peace and love of God we have received and to share it with the world. We can do this every day. There will be special opportunities throughout the year, and in particular a summer mission trip where we can work together to help build God's kingdom and spread the Gospel. For more information on these projects, visit our Missions page.

Liturgical Ministries:
Acolytes
These are the youths and adults who serve at the altar on Sundays and for other services. They do all sorts of things to help make our worship happen smoothly and reverently--from carrying the cross and tapers (candles) to being an extra set of hands for the priest. If you are interested in learning more about this ministry contact Evelyn Wheeler.

We have a strong tradition of fine music at Saint Hilary's. Whatever your musical background, this is a place you can join others with a love of music and provide a beautiful sound for everyone to enjoy. If you would like to pariticipate in this ministry, even if you are uncertain of your abilities, talk with Roy Engler.

Greeters
Some times people come to church more vulnerable than at any other time in their lives. So it is critical that we are ready to express the welcome and love that God has for everyone, without judgement and without pride. The Greeters are there to do just that. Make sure that everyone who approaches our doors knows that the love of God is ready for them and that they are safe and welcome among us. If you feel called to this ministry or would like to find out more, please contact Dorothy Knapp.

Intercessors (leading prayers)
During the services when everyone joins together in the prayers, one person leads us by reading the prayers and inviting everyone to respond. This is a vital role as prayers are central to what we do as Christians and to our worship. If you are interested in serving as an Intercessor, please contact Ken Hodkinson.

Lectors (readers)
God spoke and the universe was created. Throughout the ages, faithful people have been inspired by God to write his words, to tell his stories, and to guide and teach the church. During each service we hear readings from the Old Testament, the Epistles (letters), and the Gospel. Those who read the lessons are speaking for God the ancient words tried by faith throughout the ages. At Saint Hilary's youth are particularly encouraged to participate in this ministry. If you are interested in serving as a Lector, please contact Ken Hodkinson.

Ushers
Ushers are often the first people visitors meet. They are responsible for greeting folks as they arrive for service, handing out the service bulletin, providing information about the Church and it's services, seating people, collecting the alms, directing "traffic flow" during communion, and after services picking up items left in the church and redistributing the Bible, Prayer Book, and Hymnals. For more information, please contact Sue Miller, Sybil Edgar, or Tom Thornquist
